We're Going to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo

Mama’s taking us to the zoo tomorrow, zoo tomorrow, zoo tomorrow,

Mama’s taking us to the zoo tomorrow

And we can stay all day.

We’re going to the zoo, zoo, zoo

How about you, you, you

You can come to, to, to

We’re going to the zoo.

Ok, so we actually went yesterday…Carolyn and I loaded up the van with kids and went on a road trip to the Pt. Defiance Zoo! Dee was working all day, what a bummer, and I didn’t want to be stuck at home on a gorgeous day with 4 boys. Carlos has been begging to see his Baby Beluga. We spent lots of time looking at the belugas and walking around to all the other animals. All in all a good day!
Baby X is doing just fine, he’s a cutie and looks alot like Trey as a 3 month old!
My computer is all messed up…can’t seem to post the pictures I want so I’ll do the best I can.

Crazy!

Yeah, that just about sums it up….I’m off to pick up a 4 month old baby for receiving care. It’s a 30 day (or less!) placement so we’ll see. Sometimes these things end up just being a weekend gig, which would be fine with us.
So much for our date night tonight! The boys will still go to Nana and Papa’s to watch a movie, but we’ll probably have a nice dinner at home and do some tidying up for the portrait party tomorrow.

Chuck E Cheese Revisited

Levi wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese to celebrate his birthday so we had to do it a day early to make it work out. He didn’t mind! Nana and Papa joined us and Levi showed Papa all of the cool games to play. Trey was star struck by “Chuck E.” coming out and high fiving him, he just loves that rat. The picture of the boys in the jeep cracks me up…we are going to have issues with Carlos behind the wheel!
Came home, Carolyn brought some KFC (yum!) and we made orange cupcakes for Levi to take to school in the morning.
Can’t believe my baby is going to be 5 tomorrow…..

A Day at the Ball Game

The boys and Alice had school today, so Trey and I got some good book reading and hanging out time. Did the lunch and nap thing and when Alice came home from school we went to the high school fastpitch game. The kids entertained themselves running up and down the hill, rolling down the hill, making friends….and I actually got to kinda watch the game for the first time in a long time. We may even go to the game this afternoon!

Itching Like Mad

I think I am going to go nuts…apparently when we were busy working out in the garden the bugs were busy chewing away at us. As you can see from these grotesque pictures of my legs, I got the worst of it. I guess that was my fault…wearing shorts and kneeling by the raised beds weeding. The bites are truly ugly but the worst part is BOY OH BOY do they itch!

Got a home remedy? I’m all ears….well, all ears and bug bites!

Green Thumbs R Us

Yesterday the boys had a birthday party to go to, it was perfect and relaxed. The boys did a couple crafts but their favorite part by far was playing out in their friend’s yard. They liked the cake, too, of course.
Came home and the boys played some more in the yard while we worked out in the garden. Mary and I fixed the fence so it stood up the whole 6 feet (to keep the deer out) and made an actual door. It’s great if I do say so myself. Dee mowed in between the rows of the garden and Mary and I did some weeding in the beds. We’re almost ready to plant!
The picture of Carlos is funny because of the white board he’s carrying. Believe it or not, that’s his very favorite toy to play with in the yard. He carries it around absolutely everywhere he goes.
Today Dee went to work with some help from Scott, that was great for her! She’s dead tired and can’t wait for the job to be finished but Scotty coming to lend a hand was perfect.
While Dee was working, I took the boys and Abbie down to the beach. The boys were eager to look for crabs and I stayed busy throwing tennis balls for Abbie to chase. Tonight she’s a sore puppy but you can tell by the pictures she’s the happiest dog in the world when she’s down at the beach.
Trey had his preschool open house and he can’t wait until school starts. It’s held at St. Barnabus church and the minute he saw the building he said “I’m going to school in a castle!” He was sold.
Back to the grind tomorrow….

Fun in the Sun

Started the day with pirate tattoos for all, worked it out at aikido then headed to Bremerton to play at a new park. We were just tired of all the same parks, and all it took to change it up was a short ride in the car. The kids went nuts, played for 2 hours and I had to drag them out kicking and screaming. We were lucky enough to have my friend, Robb, stop in and hang out too. What a treat!
Surprisingly enough, after the playground the kids wanted to go to Fred Meyer. They love that place. I love it, too, since I get to shop in peace for an hour while the kids all play.
Dee met up with us, Alice and Mary, too, at Bella Luna for some yummy pizza! All in all a very good day.
