Erin's Baptism

I have to say, this girl is a character and made her baptism something to remember!  We are so blessed to have the community of Grace Church, that has embraced our not-so-typical family with open arms and found the comedy which the girl brought to her special day.
There was a point where we were all standing up front, wait, all except for Erin, who was lying down in front of us covering her eyes.
At another point I was holding her and she was trying to get down to see Nana and when I put her down, she didn’t go to Nana, she bolted for the

side door.
At that point, it was time for the boys to go out front and get the water.  Erin went along with them, it was very sweet.
When they came back in, Bill took her in his arms and proceeded with the baptism.  It was very touching and she listened to every word Bill said.  She remembered all we had done in “practice”.  It was very sweet when he put the oil on her head and she wanted more…every bottle on the table, in fact.
After the baptism, the boys also

wanted the oil and the sweetest part was when Erin put the oil on Bill’s

 forehead.
She is so blessed to have amazing Godmother’s (Mary, Ann and Kris) who adore her, too.  What a lucky little girl.

Carlos Turns 9!

Carlos is 9?  Where has the time gone.  Sounds so cliche but seems I was just driving him home from the hospital yesterday.
This birthday was all about Magic the Gathering, Baseball and GUM!
Family dinner of shrimp wraps and shrimp pasta and cake with Nana and Papa and Maymay.

Levi is 10!

Can’t believe our little guy is ten years old!  Celebration on the day with family dinner (grilled cheese with tomato soup and pineapple juice was his choice) and presents!
Lots of Lord of the Rings, Magic the Gathering and Minecraft this year.

Resilience of Youth

We had quite the adventure today, the kids got to do a faux commercial shoot for survival gear (in exchange for a family portrait session) up past the Hood Canal Bridge.
The scene was post-apocalyptic showing the “resilience of youth.”  I think our kiddos pulled it off!  They loved getting dirty, having weapons and cool gear and even posing for the pictures.  They were bad ass!
Proud of the kids, excited to see the pictures from the photographer.
