Our dear friends, Mary and Alice, took off on their adventure of 4 months living in San Miguel, Mexico. 
We will miss family dinners every Monday night and so many other things but can’t be sad because this is such an incredible experience for them.  I can’t wait until they come home, show us their pictures and tell us their stories.

Levi and his best buddy, Ryan – they have been inseparable since they first met in Kindergarten.  They even look alike!  So glad Levi’s got another kid who understands him so well and loves hanging out. 
The day this picture was taken, Ryan had tried a couple of times to pass his swim test and then passed it on the 3rd time!  Levi was a great cheerleader and was so proud of Ryan.  Now they can both go to the deep end, off the diving board and rope swing.  Way to go, Ryan!

 We have a dear friend, Debbie, who offered to take the boys to open swim at the pool and then to the park.  Her son, Ryan, and Levi are the best of friends and all the boys get along so well together.  It was nice for Dee and I to have a break to get some things done.  The house was a disaster and I was feeling stressed about it. 
The boys had an amazing time, even got to go to McDonalds and get a Happy Meal (which we rarely do…I’m too cheap and can’t eat anything there).  Thanks, Debbie!!!

Daredevil Trey is always on top of the monkey bars!

This kid cracks me up EVERY SINGLE DAY lately.  Believe me, there’s still drama and all but he’s got a super sense of humor and for being so proud, he is more than willing to make himself the fool.  Love it!

Came home yesterday to find a giant styrofoam cube on the front porch from Omaha Steaks!  I looked at the label and it was to the Field-Bennett family so I assumed Dee found an online deal and went for it.  When she got home, though, she had no idea.
I looked a little closer at the label and, besides listing the tasty treasures awaiting us inside the box, it said there was a card inside.  Opened it up and it was from JODI!  She sent US a thank you for staying for a week?  It was so much fun and we should have sent her a thank you for hanging out with us.
Gotta say, we really felt the love….and, as Jodi will appreciate…the cooler will be PERFECT for crabbing! 
We are counting down the days until we see you again, my friend.

Our dear friends, the Malloys

 The Pt. White Dock is where we are spending a LOT of our summer this year.  We have a great time, meet up with friends and the boys jump into the water and play on the beach while we chat and throw out our crab pots.
I will never tire of crab for dinner and Erika and Alvin recently bought a burner so we can cook and clean (and eat!) the crab right on the dock while we wait to catch more.
So much fun!

 Erin is usually SO mellow and easy going, but she is certainly learning that tantrums are effective.
We are at the “throwing herself on the floor” stage and it’s oh so fun!
The bottom picture, though, is from today…after she had been screaming for 6 straight hours.  Poor little girl has yet another ear infection.  That’s 5 in the last 5 months.  Looks like we’re headed to Children’s to talk “tubes”

 Our dear friend, Jessie, and her husband are expecting!  We were lucky enough to get an invite to a day on their farm to celebrate the big news.  I can’t wait to meet Tater.
The kids had a ball feeding and walking the llamas, eating tasty BBQ, playing ping pong, shooting real arrows and having s’mores by the fire pit. 
I love the notes the boys wrote to Tater to put in the orchard.  Many blessings, Jessie and Keith, you have one lucky little baby to have you as parents.

Trey and Carlos spend most of their time at the pool doing flips off the diving board.  Carlos didn’t want to be filmed and put on the internet, Trey said “Hey, put me up on Facebook!”  Here ya go!

 We spent a little time at Helen’s pool with the McMillian crew.  SO MUCH FUN!  It was a couple hours of flips off the diving board and just goofing around in the water.  Gotta love summer.
