Give Me Cake!

It’s not quite Erin’s 1st birthday, but she can’t wait to taste the cake!  I thought this was hilarious.  We were sitting having a cup of coffee and Erin completely entertained herself by literally drooling on the bakery case.  Don’t worry, we cleaned it when she was done.

Happy 4th of July!  We were so lucky to have Jodi in visiting and here to celebrate with us.  We went down to the parade, saw so many friends (my favorite part) and then sat for the parade.  This year, Levi walked with the Island School float so it was fun to wave at him when they came by.  Carlos and Trey collected a lot of candy and had fun watching the interesting spectacle walk by.  Always a good time.

Ended the day with a killer BBQ with a bunch of friends, fireworks and all in all a great time.

Ah, Paradise

We are SO lucky that we have a sweet friend who lets us come use her pool during the day while she’s working.  It’s not only super fun for the kids to swim, it’s a garden paradise and I could sit there for days and feel at peace.
Thank you, Helen, when we are at your pool, we are in heaven!

Got Crabs?

Our crabbing buddies – we will be spending lots of time together this summer!

We love crab, love love love it!  We waited in high anticipation for July 1st to come around, since that meant we could hang out at the dock and bring in crab without going broke at the store buying it.  We usually get Red Rock Crab (they look just like Dungeness, but have black on their pinchers and tend to be a tad smaller) and think they are super tasty.  A bit more work than Dungeness when you are eating, but still so worth the effort.
First day out, got 6 nice ones, then did it again day 2!

Someone caught a lawn chair!

Pick It Up!

I’m damn tired of picking up after the boys.  You would think at this age they would be tired of me nagging them about leaving their things all over the house.
It’s not hard, clean up what you take out.
I now have a solution (which now holds a lonely Lego magazine)!

Surprise!

So, 24 years ago I met my “sister” Jodi.  She and my brother dated awhile and even after they broke up we stayed in touch.
As a surprise, Dee and Jodi have been planning a visit and now she’s here!
So fun to have her here, meet the kids and just hang out and chat with.  She’s fit right into our crazy schedule (well, with a few mid day naps thrown in).
Will hate to see her leave.
