Labor Laws?
Here’s my orchard pruning crew…yes, they are a tad motley but they are hard workers. Dee and I wielded the clippers and took advantage of one of our sunny days in March to prune the entire orchard. The boys (plus Ryan) were our clean-up crew and they each earned a homemade bow and arrow for their hard work. To tell you the truth, I had fun making them…and they were cool!
Surprise!

Nathan and Bryan came to visit and Bryan was standing in our front yard enjoying the view…..when he was ambushed by boys with Mama K’s homemade bow and arrows! Beware all, the boys are armed (just kidding, they had unsharpened sticks for arrows and are under strict orders not to point them at anything living).
Little League

It’s that time of year again…baseball season! At this point, Levi and Carlos are on the Single A Cubs and Trey is on the Tball Royals. To be honest, before practices started we petitioned BI Little League to have Trey play up. Let’s face it, he’s huge! Anyhow, we were turned down but since he had his first practice tonight (and he’s a foot taller and 20 pounds heavier than all but 2 of his teammates) we are resubmitting our request for him to play up. I think you’ll see why when you see the picture of him and his team!
Let’s hope for the right decision!

Re-Decorating

All 3 boys are sharing a room upstairs and we got the baby room mostly decorated. I love the spaces now and everyone’s happy! My next plan is to get pictures of our past foster babies up on the nursery room wall. It’s been fun going back through pictures and seeing so many smiling baby faces and wondering how and where they are now.
April Fool's Day
Semi Staycation
Spring Break this year was wet, wet, wet and our guys were tired of being cooped up inside! We took an adventure to Seattle (a post to come) and a road trip to Port Angeles for Dee to look at Beth & Bert’s house for a painting job. I decided that we needed a little getaway, so I requested respite care for the babies and booked a hotel room for Saturday night in Sequim. Had to be sure there was a pool!
To be honest, the pool was a little chilly but the boys didn’t seem to mind and there was also a hot tub to warm up in.
We watched a lot of movies, ate junk food and dipped in the pool. The Russo family joined us for dinner on their way through town, which was a treat!
Glad we got a mini vacation!
