Awesome 2 day vacation! It wasn’t looking like it was going to happen, we had set up respite for both the babies in advance and felt good about things. A couple days before, the respite people bailed and could only take 1 of the boys. So some scrambling happened and another respite was found. Then, an hour before we were supposed to leave, the same respite people bailed on the other boy. So, we were left in a lurch without care for one of the babies. Stress, stress, stress! Anyhow, Bill and Melissa saved the day and offered to stay at our place with the one, and all was well. WHEW, so nice to have such good friends!
We finally made it and WOW it is a super cool family place. More pictures and videos to come!

Welcome Home, Nana & Papa
We have been missing Nana and Papa terribly…They’ve been on a cruise in Mexico for the last 12 days. The boys have been asking daily if when we would see them next. We hoped to surprise them
when they came home so we snuck in and hung up a sign the boys made, dropped off some groceries and turned on the heat and lights so it looked cozy and homey.
Carlos came with me down to the ferry to pick up Nana and Papa and this picture truly says it all…I think we all missed eachother A LOT!
So glad you’re home, mom and dad. You were missed!
An Island Tradition

We started this morning with an Island tradition, the Firefighter’s Pancake Breakfast. Always so much fun, we end up seeing lots of people we know, getting a great meal of pancakes and ham and wrapping it all up with a ride on the top of the firetruck.
We try to make it every year and are never disappointed.
Today, after breakfast, we got to meet up with our dear friend, Ann. The boys call her “Godma Ann” since she is their Godmother….it’s been too long since the last time we had a chance to see her and chat. Always good times!
Island School Carnival
One of favorite events of the year is the Island School Carnival. Everyone had a great time, lots of cotton candy and caramel corn and so much fun running from station to station. Carlos won a lunch out with Trish (the head of the school) in the raffle and Levi won Valentine making with Betsy (one of the 5th grade teachers). Both were ecstatic and our crew was exhausted by the end of the day. We were lucky to have Levi’s friend, Ryan, with us for the day and his mom stayed for dinner after work. Always nice to end the day sitting around the table with friends.
We Are Not Barfers
So this week, the stomach flu has worked it’s wicked self through our family. Not fun. Started Saturday night when Baby R threw up on the floor by his bed. We chalked it up to him eating too much junk at the Island School Auction, but when Trey woke up Tuesday morning saying that he, too, had thrown up in his bed we knew we were in for trouble. I had a day of nausea and aches and today Levi got sick. Can we be done now? We are not barfers!
I did get this picture, that was super cute. When Carlos got home from school on Tuesday, he immediately got into his jammies and snuggled up with Trey in our bedroom to keep him company (oh…and watch Pokemon!).
