Boy Are They Goofy

Our boys are so funny, crazy, goofy, just plain nuts.  We took them into the city for dinner with Beth, Rachel and Michael.  Always have a wonderful time with them and it was nice to get away with just our boys for an evening.  Levi and Carlos were a little bored on the ferry and I was working on teaching them how to cross their eyes.  Levi got the zombie look down but they didn’t quite cross, Carlos can do it but still with a finger in front of him.
They found a giant stuffed penguin to pose in front of by Red Robin and I managed to snap a picture of them all on the front of the boat, waiting for it to leave.  We were yelling and whistling to try and get Beth, Rachel and Michael’s attention since they had walked us to the boat to try to kick start Rachel’s labor but it didn’t work.  We saw them from the ferry but try as we did, couldn’t get their attention.
Wonderful evening!

The Kitsap County Fair was in town, and I was planning on spending a day seeing the boothes, petting the animals, eating the food and riding the rides.  Turns out the week was a bit crazy and the only time we had was just over an hour while the baby was at a visit (and it was free!).
We squeezed in visits to the animals and a quick tour through the exhibits.  The kids came back with a bag full of swag s they were ecstatic and we can say we went to the fair this year.  Next year we’ll plan ahead and actually go on some rides.

Carlos, Trey, Nana and I went into the big city last week for a follow up for Carlos at Children’s Hospital.  Even after his tonsils and adnoids were removed, he still has some sleep apnea and is getting frequent nose bleeds.  Apparently he’s got nasal allergies and since there isn’t a cure, we’ve got to start with treating the nose bleeds and then move on to treating the symptoms of the allergies.
So we tried to make it a fun trip as well as take care of business.  Trey got to spend a little time playing in the Sibling Playroom during Carlos’ appt, we stopped at the best little store City People and got some of their amazing chocolate mint patties (plus they always give Carlos some of their miscut keys) and finished up with lunch at Burgermaster.  A fun day was had by all!

Old Friends

There’s nothing like old friends…and it was a treat to meet up with one of my oldest and dearest friends, Robb, and his boys for an afternoon at the park.  Our boys play well together and it was nice to hang out and catch up with Robb.
The funniest thing was when Robb got a call and his oldest, Jacob, took out his “cell phone” and proceeded to have a conversation while Robb was.  It was hilarious!
Anyhow, great time had by all, hope to repeat soon.  Thanks Dedon!
