Fishing Pictures, as promised
In the Paper
It’s 1am and I’m heading to bed here…we have a newborn as of this afternoon and he and I have been sleeping in the chair for the last couple hours. He just ate so I’m hoping to actually make it to the bed for at least a little while.
Anyhow, that explains why I’m up this late and why this post will be so short…I wanted to get out a blog post about our famous boys! They were in the local newspaper for the opening day of fishing! We went to the Sportsman’s Club Pond, just like I did as a kid. One of my fondest memories that I got to share with my boys as well. Anyhow, check them out at www.bainbridgereview.com and I’ll write some more later. There’s a cute picture that you can kinda pick us out in, then a video when you open the story and Carlos is the final kid in it with the fish he caught!
New Contest Blog
If you know me, you know I enter contests…and sometimes even win (I’ve won a trip to the Marlboro Ranch, $100 Toys R Us Gift Card, Wii Game, Books, Kid’s Shoes…and more!)! In some of the contests I enter there is a chance for additional entries for blogging about the contest. Thought this would be a good way to share contests with my friends as well as get extra entries! WIN/WIN!
Here’s the link and good luck:

First Game

Saturday was the kick off to the t-ball season, with our first game. The kids came out and played and played well. There were some funny moments, one with Trey running off the field instead of to first base after a hit. There are no outs and everyone bats through the order but we only play 3 innings so it all works out.
I got to go out Saturday night, Mary and I did a cool cd exchange and met a bunch of fun people I never would have met before. Gotta love Facebook for networking.
Today has been a whirlwind in lots of good ways. We did our Sunday morning coffee with Margaret and Todd, came home and did some yard work (it looks perfect and as Martha Stewart as a filled with kid toys white trash yard could look). I took the boys to a friend’s birthday party then we went to open swim at the pool with the foster parent association. What fun! Our boys are really swimming, it’s great to watch them and not have to think one will drown the minute you turn your head. They did lots of jumps off the side and swimming around the shallow end they were wiped out. Came home, had dinner with Nana and Papa and did some door to door sales of the Little League Double Play cards. It’s a great deal, really…only $5 and you get discounts at Casa Rojas, Mud Puddle Coffee, Westside Pizza, Silver Screen Video, DQ, Bainbridge Cinemas and more. Want one?!?!?!

Say What?
.
We’ve been thinking that Levi is being a typical 5 almost 6 year old lately and doing his fair share of ignoring us. Turns out, he REALLY isn’t hearing us. We tested him a little by asking if he wanted a cupcake, etc but still he didn’t respond. I took him into the doctor’s last night and he has fluid on his eardrums, both of them. They did a hearing test and at this point he has moderate-severe hearing loss in both ears because of it. So, he wasn’t ignoring us, but really couldn’t hear us. He’s on some antibiotics and we’ll go back in a month, but if his body doesn’t absorb the fluids we’ll be looking at ear tubes. Fingers crossed!!!
