Lighting the Tree

Loaded up the kids and headed down to Winslow tonight to see Santa and the lighting of the tree. The kids were so excited to see the lit up fire truck pull up with Santa waving on top. He came through the crowd and did a great job of shaking every kid’s hand and saying Hi. The elves came along behind him and handed out candy canes. Trey was completely amazed at Santa and held onto his coat, hoping he if did he could keep him there forever. He asked him “hey Santa, where did you come from?” Love this season through the eyes of a child. This year’s going to be one of many wonders from our boys, they are a great age!

Ahhhhhhh

Levi had a play date today with his friend, Sophie. I don’t know what it is about these two but they seriously love each other, it’s too cute. Levi has been counting the goodnights until he got to go see her and he apparently spent the day trying to make her laugh and holding her hand. They came back to our place then Sophie stayed here for a couple of hours to play some more until we went down to the town’s Christmas Tree Lighting. They have more fun together.
Us Mamas are happy about this one, too…we just adore Sophie’s family. In fact, her grandpa Steve was my softball coach in high school and like a second dad to me. I think it’s fun that they get along so well.

Circle of Life

This spider lives just outside our family room and builds and rebuilds it’s web daily. I wish I would have had the video camera ready for this one but Dee and I watched in amazement as a wasp flew into the web and the spider dropped down and wrapped it up in it’s web. Fascinating!

Turkey Day

Some pics from Thanksgiving…Dee made an AMAZING dinner, we ate way too much and enjoyed the time together. There’s a lot to be said for mellow family get togethers where you can change into your jammies mid-evening and play games.
Nana’s going to be ticked that I put on this picture of Levi…but it’s funny. It was completely innocent and that made it great. He was so happy to goof around with olives on his fingers, I have great memories of doing that as a kid too!
