Go Charlie!

Went out to coffee this morning with Margaret and Olivia and that’s always a treat. Stopped off at home to do some tidying up (the place was a nightmare) then met Godma Ann for lunch at Isla Bonita. I love how they see us and always put us in the back of the restaurant away from all the rest of the people. Little do they know…our boys know how to behave in a restaurant!

After lunch we headed to Sands field to watch Charlie (Ann’s son and someone the boys idolize) play soccer. Ann had left lunch a little before us, as to not miss any of the game and when they saw her at the field the ran as fast as they could into her open arms. It’s a wonder they didn’t knock her over. Anyhow, Charlie’s a great soccer player and the game was fun to watch. I got a few good pics of the action but it’s tough to be a sports photographer while you’re trying to keep track of 3 active preschoolers. Nothing like a roll down a grassy hill to end an afternoon at the soccer field.

Is It Really Happening?

We’ve been anticipating our septic system being replaced now since the beginning of July, always being postponed for one reason or another. Work began this weekend, WOO HOO! Hoping it goes quickly…not quite sure how it’s all going to work but we’ll find out soon.
The boys are thinking that the digger in the yard is about the coolest thing ever. It’s tough to keep them from climbing on it, but we did get a couple photos and let them touch it. If only the guy left the key….

Grrrrrrr

Lunch yesterday was spent with the boys practicing their spookiest Halloween face for the camera. I was at a Mom’s sale all morning and then again in the afternoon but it was nice to come home for a short while to visit with Dee and the boys. I think I made quite a bit of money, I’m hoping, but I was really glad to go from having 8 bins of boy’s clothes down to 3 bins.

Happy Birthday, Mama Dee

It’s Dee’s birthday and we’ve been trying to do our best to spoil her. We had Sawatdy’s thai food (YUM!) for dinner and I baked her a chocolate zucchini cake at her request. The boys have been excited all day and they even sang to her at the breakfast table this morning, she was already at work but they were practicing for the “real” singing with the cake.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA DEE, hope it was a great one!

Pumpkin Patch

Got up this morning, inspired to take the boys to church. It’s been WAY too long, don’t even want to admit it but this morning I took the boys and went. It was good, Trey and Levi went to Sunday School and Carlos was quiet but wanted to stay with Mama. That worked for me. Came home, changed clothes and headed out to the pumpkin patch.
We didn’t last long but did pick out 2 big carving pumpkins for the mamas, and each boy picked out a small one. Everyone left happy, it was a good day.

Visit to KiDiMu

Dee had to work on Saturday morning so the boys and I headed off to a garage sale (with Carolyn and her little ones), then got some free waffles at the Blue Ocean Cafe, checked out KiDiMu and their new Arthur exhibit and finally went to the library book sale.
Luckily Carolyn brought her camera with her to KiDiMu and got some great pics. They have a cool kitchen setup and the boys loved pretending to be librarians and “check out” books to eachother and me. Glad it’s not the Blue Man Group display anymore, our guys really didn’t get into that one so much but I will miss the belly patting song that played repeatedly. Don’t worry moms, now it’s the Arthur theme that plays non-stop!
