More Blast from the Past

Here’s me as a baby! Probably close to the last time I wore a dress.

Family friends, the LeRoys, Wells and Gaines…circa 1999. Fondest of memories with these families and we’re still friends and all with kids now! Check out their blogs, I have a link to the on the side here, just the names have changed (House of Dedons, Schmidt House and Coleman Family)

Here we are sitting happily on the porch with Abbie, pre-kids.

Baby Time

We’ve got a little one for a couple days while the state works out some issues with her case. She’s a sweetheart and it’s amazing to me how the boys just LOVE their baby time. They sure miss having a baby around. This was a picture when she woke up this morning, there are all the

guys just itching for her to be out of her bed. Good morning baby!

Oh What a Night!

Our Halloween party went off without a hitch! Even in our small house, everyone seemed to be able to move around and chat and have a good time. A few were dressed up, Mary gave me a wicked mohawk to go along with the “punk” look and Dee wore her glowing skeleton hands and face out in the field for our scavenger hunt. The kids couldn’t believe that they were going to go outside in the dark to search for treasure. Trey got the 1st place trophy (with some help from his friend, Joe, who totally got the hunt and quickly found all the little toys out in the field) and couldn’t have been more proud. We are beat but the house is clean, the boys are sleeping and we are happy it all went so well. Good friends, good times!

Levi, Carlos and Yert

We carved pumpkins last night, a love/hate thing with our boys at this point. We always have the boys names on their little pumpkins and this year I thought we’d have them write their names on a piece of paper and I’d transfer it to the pumpkin. They turned out fabulous! Levi and Carlos have their names fairly legible…Trey’s in backwards. So, our pumpkins read “Levi, Carlos and Yert” Gotta love it.

Fall Portraits

Grabbed the camera when we went outside to play yesterday and got some great shots. There’s just something about Fall and being out in the crisp air that I love.

It didn’t take long for Carlos to find raspberries and share with the group. It was also a highlight for the kids to find worms!

Carlos joined me in meeting another islandmom blogger (http://supergluericekrispies.blogspot.com/) for coffee this morning. What a treat for me to have an actual conversation with another mom. To keep himself busy he pulled out his notebook and wrote down names of our family. Mama K, Dee, Mary (backwards), Levi, Carlos, Alice, Trey, Abbie and Jack. I was impressed! He loves to write letters and now words, it’s cool.
