Started out the day by helping our friend, Carolyn, with her big move. The big boys were with me and did a pretty good job keeping out of the way and even carrying a thing or two. I got to disassemble then reassemble a crib and do a few odds and ends to help out. Dee took Trey to the shop to get some work done while we were helping out.
This afternoon we grabbed a bite to eat, met up with Mary and Alice and went to the Harvest Festival on the island. I think the kids were all a little tired but it was fun to see the animals. Carlos is actually the toughest without a nap and he was fine up until a big kid came up and took his walking stick right out of his hand. I saw it, but couldn’t believe it, then the kid ran away. Carlos totally melted down and it was the beginning of the end of our time out at the farm. Mary, Alice and Levi squeezed in a quick hayride while I hung back to console Carlos and have a heart to heart talk about how sometimes big kids do mean things, but that he should remember that when he’s older.
Came home and mowed the lawn…got some Halloween decorations out…watched Scooby Doo and the Loch Ness Monster. A good day.
