Like A Newborn Baby

Seriously….if you ever wondered what it’s like to have a 5 year old with a broken collarbone, it’s just like having a newborn baby. Getting up all hours of the night to care for them is just the start.

All in all, it’s exhausting! Have to give a huge thanks to our MNMs friends who have graciously offered to bring us some meals. I didn’t realize that we were not really doing dinner (does cereal? McDonalds? Corndog? really count as a meal) so this will help out a ton. I’ve been fighting a cold on top of getting up at night with Levi so by dinner time I’m beat.

Many have asked how he’s doing and yesterday was a really tough one for him. As a mama is makes me worry that more may be going on. We gave him a dose of baby vicotin during the day, he napped and seemed much improved but since it was day 3 he shouldn’t have been getting worse. Doctor’s appt today, going to push for more x-rays and see what’s going on with our brave little guy. He’s learning better how to tell him brothers to keep their distance so that’s a bonus, plus I rented some new ScoobyDoo and Justice League (Superman, Batman, Spiderman) dvds so he can be mellow. I figure a few days with the tv isn’t going to hurt him.

Went to a great picnic for the Wilkes preschool last night, what fun to have the kids all playing together and the parents getting to chit chat. Great food, too! The boys love their teachers and were excited to see them again. I forgot my camera, otherwise we would have had some great pictures.

Off to hit the store real quick for some much needed coffee…and toilet paper, we’re down to the last roll and that would be bad. Obviously grocery shopping hasn’t been high on the to-do list. Then the big boys have an hour of preschool each so today’s busy again.
