Scratch, Scratch

That’s how my throat feels…red, scratchy and SO sore. Bummer. Hoping it will feel better tomorrow. We have big plans for the 4th so I’ve gotta rally.

Today was the last day of gymnastics camp and the boys did their demonstration and they did really well. What a change from last year when they were the ones running around in circles and out of control. I was really proud of them!

Off to bed here, it’s late and I need to get some rest and shake this sore throat before tomorrow. Enjoy the pics of our lil’ tumblers.

You Gotta Have Friends

Another day at gymnastics camp for Levi and Carlos, Alice, Trey and I

went in to see Shrek 3. Dee picked up the boys, met us in Poulsbo for haircuts and then we went out to eat. Trey was sure surprised when the waiters showed up singing with dessert. He looked great in the sombrero. Happy almost birthday, Trey.

Came home and played out in the yard. Had our friends, the Barnums, come for dinner. Our kids just think their kids are the best. Joe gave the boys all piggyback rides around the yard, then they drove the power wheels and then came and played dress-up in the playroom. Four Buzz Lightyears and their captain, what fun!

Buh-nastics Camp

That’s what the boys call it…buh-nastics camp but it’s gymnastics and the big boys had a great time. Carlos enjoyed the face painting the most, he got glasses, a strawberry, a parachute, a telephone, a pirate sword and dots on his ear (NOT earrings, he says). He got to choose what got painted, seems seriously random.
Another day of camp today and I’ll take Trey to a movie before we get haircuts. I also promised the kids that I would set up the slip n slide. Some friends are coming for dinner tonight so we’re really looking forward to that, too.
Summer fun in the yard, seems Carlos is always the one being chased. He’s super speedy and knows it, so he dumps a bucket of water on an unsuspecting brother and takes off running.

Boy How We've Grown

I think I’m a fairly good bargain hunter. We’ve got clothes stored in the basement up until size 8 and shoes to size 2. I shop the seasonal clearance sale and get some great deals. It’s always shocking to me when our guys grow and I don’t have something they need. Today, it’s summer pjs. I don’t buy much at retail prices so imagine my shock when I scoured Target, the Evil Empire, the mall, TJ Maxx and Ross only to find that the average pair of boys summer pajamas was about $15! Um, that’s not going to happen. I would be spending $100+ just to make it between laundry days. If you’ve got boys jammies size 4-6 laying around collecting dust, we would accept them with open arms.
