Flashlight Egg Hunt

What a crazy busy day we had today. But it was oh so fun! Started out getting the boys all dressed up for the Messenger House Easter Egg Hunt. Always a good time, the boys got to see the Easter Bunny and get a ton of eggs. Levi had art class where he made a seriously cool painting (framable at age 4!) then all the boys took a short nap.

We did “poop patrol” on the 5 acres and got the eggs all set out for the first annual Field-Bennett Flashlight Egg Hunt. It was SOOOO fun. I think a good time was had by all. There were lots of kids with flashlights and baskets and off they went to collect eggs we had “hidden” in the yard. Now I say hidden in quotations because there had to have been at least

200 eggs out in the yard, just out there but I put reflector tape on each one so when the light shined on them it looked like little lights in the grass. Next year we are going to add the adult part of the hunt and hide beer in the trees. Does that sound white trash or what?

It didn’t take long for the kids to find all the eggs and we headed in for cookies and juice boxes. The kids watched Dora’s Egg Hunt and played for a bit and we cleaned up and got the boys to bed.

What a great day! Here’s a video of the flashlight egg hunt…pretty cool, huh?
