So this year the local Parks Dept decided that it would be a great idea to combine spring and summer class registration into one session. NOT cool. I don’t really want to plan my August in March. I’m more on a day to day survival track at this point.
Anyhow, since there isn’t preschool we try to have the boys doing at least one thing during each of the summer weeks, with a couple off for “vacation”. There are some great programs, but with our limited budget we have to pick and choose. We also get some amazing support from a local agency so our boys would get to do things way out of our budget. I am so thankful. I think the prices have gotten way out of control for kid’s programs in general. For the classes I hope to get them into the pricetag would have been $820. Staggering.
So, the sign upstarts Friday morning at 10am and then I’ll know really if the boys are going to do all the things I am hoping to get them into. You wouldn’t believe, and I’m not the only mom to do this, but we basically have to make up a blank calendar, chart out what is offered and when and then make a spreadsheet as to who’s doing what. So, if all goes well, the boys will be each having 2 sessions of swimming lessons, Trey gets to go to Future Stars (sports) Camp, and Levi and Carlos are doing big kid Future Stars, Forest Friends Camp and Gymnastics Camp. Should be fun!
