So we’re struggling with Carlos….his speech lady, “B” has left Harrison to take a job with the school district and Carlos is refusing to talk during speech therapy with the new therapist. He adores “B”, the whole drive over to Harrison today he kept saying he wanted to see her and that he was sad and missed her. I’m at a loss for what to do, I would give anything to be able to pay “B” myself to do private lessons! So I’ll keep taking Carlos to Harrison each Wednesday in hopes that he’ll start talking during his session. Arrghh, he’s such a sensitive and stubborn boy. He holds his speech therapists in such a high space…just the other day he was playing again with Levi and told Levi “ok, now you be El Chupacabra and I’ll be “B”!” For those of you who don’t know who El Chupacabra is…it’s kind of the Mexican version of the Big Foot but more lizard like (thank you Scooby Doo and the Monster of Mexico for that one).

Speaking of Carlos, he was so funny at the Gap today. He was looking at the pajamas and found some on clearance that had alligators on them and wanted them so badly. I told him to call Mama Dee (yeah, I passed the buck!) and ask if she would give him money to buy them and of course she said yes. We got each of the boys a new pair of jammies, Carlos picked them all out himself.

For the first time ever, we had Abby (one of our former softball players) come and watch Levi and Trey while I took Carlos to speech. It was great, although they didn’t nap. We hope to have her come hang out with the boys again real soon! It’s great for them and for us, too. Hell, we may even get to a movie sometime in the near future!
