We had a new little one for the last two days, she’s a sweet girl for sure and we were helping out another foster parent. Trey is funny about her, kinda jealous of someone his age hanging around. He never seems to get upset with babies or older kids. I figure it’s only one day…he’ll get over it!

We are also in the process of making some visual aides for Levi for around the house. The first is a visual counter to count down the time before events happen (like how much time he has to help clean up before we leave the house). The next I have to make is the daily schedule so he knows what will be happening when. We’ll also make up a rewards chart for each boy and work on that. Seems like we have many battles now that it’s summertime and there is less structure.

Tomorrow will be BUSY…soccer practice for Levi and Carlos, Trey’s getting his 2 year old portraits taken and then we have an ice cream social for Terry (the placement person at DSHS who has also been very good to us!) at DSHS in the afternoon.

We are also talking about going on another walk in the Grand Forest tonight and having Levi and Carlos in a harness until we can be sure that they can prove they won’t run away. Trying to make a point here and show them the seriousness of it all. Carlos is still upset, and the poor guy even woke up last night scared and wanting mama….he gets it. Levi needs a little more talk about it before it sinks in.
