Sometimes things happen in life that show you just how short it can be. On this small island, word got around fast about the local Starbucks barista who died this weekend in a jetski accident. It’s very sad, she was always super friendly to us all and Dee enjoyed talks about her kids (12 and 13) while waiting for the coffee to be made. Please send good thoughts and prayers to this family, who lost an amazing lady.

Dee and I have been working the last couple of months on making our lives more simple but better. We’ve freecycled a LOT of clutter, gone through everyone’s clothes and toys and got rid of what isn’t played with or was outgrown. We’ve also started walking each night with the boys. We’ve been to the Grand Forest (they LOVE the huckleberries) and to Battle Point (where they chased bunnies) so far. They love going on walks and Dee and I get some much needed exercise.
