Just a couple pictures of my nephew, Luca, my brother Todd and my sister in law, Monica at Gateway Canyons. Cute family, huh? Looks like a great place to vacation…they even had a patio with a private jacuzzi!

Luca likes to read the blog with his dad…thought it would be fun for him to see some pics of himself online. And I know Nathan wants to see pics of Luca, too!

We just were SO productive today….got the office cleared out and tons of stuff listed on Freecycle so it all will hopefully disappear this week. So we have an office now that you can get to! Desks you can see! Things are organized!

Yes, we’re giving ourselves a HUGE pat on the back….this has been a project we’ve been trying to get done and was too hard with the boys, but they were rockstars today and played in the playroom while we worked on the clutter.

Come see what we’ve done!

What a GREAT weekend we’ve had…Friday night we camped at Fay Bainbridge with the boys. We had some friends join us for dinner, too fun! We need to do that more often, it was much needed. They had a ball, playing on the playground, roasting marshmallows over the campfire, playing with flashlights. Sleeping in the tent was a treat for them, and when it was time to settle down and sleep, they did!

We took off pretty early the next morning, got mamas some coffee and let the boys play at Wilkes for a little bit. They came home, took a nap while we did some laundry and got things put away, and got ready for another BBQ.
So the BBQ at our place yesterday was planned by Dee and a total hoot! We just love spending time with friends, and Dee was jazzed to get out and grill up some steaks. The kids played outside, we even got to uncover the foosball table and play a little.
Church this morning then laundry, laundry, laundry….

Fun in the sunshine with the new sprinkler and slip n slide (yes, Trey and Levi are about the same size now!)! Then we had family dinner with Mary and Alice…Trey really loved the marion berry pie!
Off to Fay Bainbridge to camp tonight with the boys. Really can’t wait, they are going to love it. Not sure anyone will sleep but it will be fun all the same. 🙂

Just my little commentary on the gas prices….

What a nice day….I got pampered courtesy of Mary. For my birthday, she gave me a gift cert to a pedicure and a facial, and she scheduled it all and watched the kids while I took the day off. What a treat!

When I got home, Carlos was just finishing up with his speech lady, then we got the kids up and ready to go and went and saw Shrek the Third with Mary and Alice and Holly, Maddie and Gabe. Then we came home and Mary went off to bellydancing lessons while we had pizza with Holly, Maddie and Gabe. It was a fun night for sure. Sorry about the balloons, Holly! 😉

The boy’s birthday party was a success! We had 16 kids total, including ours and a couple of babies and some great grown up friends join us. The kids were running around outside in the yard in the wind and loving it. We were going to make kites and fly them outside but they were more than happy just playing so we just let them do their thing. We had cupcakes and presents (totally cool, thanks guys) and lots of fun. The rain held off for the party so someone was watching over us.

Someone had a birthday on Monday….Carlos turned THREE! Amazing to think it’s been that long since we brought the little guy home from the hospital. First we had Holly, Maddie and Gabe come play for awhile and they brought a some cool bubble machines that the boys love. Nana and Papa got back from their trip and came over for noodles and meat and cake!

Some pics of the boys for Mother’s Day….it was a good one that started out rocky. Trey had thrown up in his bed during the night (but got up and was ready to take on the day like nothing had happened). Then Carlos got up and his eyes were a mess, he’d gotten sand in them yesterday but we got drops in case of pink eye. He should be back to normal tomorrow but today he looked like a prize fighter after a losing fight.
We had coffee with Margaret and Peggy this morning, which is always great and came home and worked in the yard for hours. Put the boys down and got some more done. The yard is looking nice.
Baby’s leaving on Tuesday…short stay but he’s been totally easy.
Tomorrow is Carlos’ 3rd birthday, can hardly believe it. He’s got preschool screening for thing in the morning, then speech lady’s coming and then Nana and Papa are coming over for “noodles and meat” from Sawatdy’s and the birthday celebration.

We had a new (and very temporary) addition! We got this little guy when he was just 1 day old on Wednesday and he’ll be leaving to another foster home on Tuesday. We are enjoying the baby time again for sure, still missing our previous baby too. He’s been so easy, still sleeping most the time and he doesn’t cry, he squeaks, it’s too cute.
Pictures: Carlos with his new spiked hairdo….Levi with his super short ready for summer haircut and Trey doing a little dance while pretending to talk on the phone with Nana and Papa.
So today….we took baby to visit his parents, dropped him off and headed to McDonalds for some lunch. The boys ate and I let them play to kill some time. When it was time to go though, Trey was up in the tubes and refused to come down. I sent Levi up to get him, he still refused, I tried to lure him out with his pacifier, he still wouldn’t budge. I hollered up into the tubes and heard “No Mama” as a response. We were running out of time and had to leave to pick up Vincent and I had to crawl up into the tubes and go get him. The higher I crawled, the higher he climbed and screamed “no” at me. I was NOT a happy mama by the time I got him…had to pull him down behind me and lead him out the door, screaming bloody murder, and put him in the car. OOOOOh, talk about angry mama. By that point I was sweaty (it was hella hot in the tubes), angry, had a headache and my knees were killing me. I’ll know better next time, Trey can’t handle the tubes at McDonalds!
Happy weekend all!
