Some random pics and videos to share….the boy’s portraits from Penneys, a beautiful rainbow over Seattle, Nevaeh cooing and grinning, Carlos and Levi wrestling. Enjoy!
Oh, and another plug for the grocery game, if you aren’t doing it you have to be asking yourself “why not?” It was a STELLAR day of savings at Safeway today. Here’s what I got for $67.64 (saved $149.63) this week: 8 tubes of Arm & Hammer toothpaste, 6 bottles Herbal Essence shampoo, 2 bottle Windex, 2 Lysol Kitchen Spray, 6 Lysol wipes, 7 boxes Quaker granola bites/bars, 4 boxes Orville Redenbocker popcorn, 2 Log Cabin Syrups, 6 Del Monte canned fruit, 2 Kraft salad dressing, 3 Purina cat foods, 4 pkgs frozen sausage links, 3.5 pounds organic bananas, 2.5 pounds seedless grapes, 2 pounds zucchini, 3 pounds pears, 2 pounds baby carrots, and a bag of coleslaw.
Now don’t you think you outta ask me about the grocery game????

It was a hard day for Carlos’ head…we went to the Zone and the boys played and played hard. Surprising, since they were not feeling 100% but they were done being cooped up resting at home and weather for the weekend is supposed to be questionable at best. So we went, and towards the end a lady came over to me and with her was Carlos covered in blood. Apparently he had been bopped in the nose, he wasn’t crying or anything but it took a little bit to stop the bleeding. Later in the day Abbie knocked him right into the door jam! A rough day for Carlos’ head….this morning he’s fine, with a couple of faint black eyes. Poor baby.

Looks like Baby will be heading off to live with her sister on Monday. We will REALLY miss her, she’s just an amazing little girl already and we adore her, but she is really starting to pass the newborn stage and wake up which makes it hard. Also, with Dee working so many late nights these days, it’s super hard for me to be a single parent to 4 babies who all “need” me! So, the break will be nice…we’ll see how long it takes for the state to call with another newborn. lol

Happy weekend all!

Childhood asthma is the pits….Levi’s been struggling today and fingers are crossed that he’ll wake up tomorrow feeling better. We’ve been so lucky this year that it hasn’t been as bad as years past but you just have to feel so bad for the little guy.

Carlos is sporting a 102.5 fever that refuses to come down with meds, but he is bouncing off the walls and feels fine. Trey’s hacking away with his cough. Looks like we’ll most likely be seeing Dr. Margaret in the morning. Maybe a miracle will happen and they will all wake up feeling great. A mom can always dream….

We had a great Easter…busy but great!

We got the boys up and all dressed in their new shirts and ties, headed off to church. It was a tough service because Trey wanted nothing to do with it and we battled the whole time, missing out on the sermon and just trying to pacify him. The time with children in the service was hilarious…all the kids totally missed the point of it and kept chattering on and on about chocolate and candy, it had everyone laughing so hard they were crying.

After church we met up with Margaret, Peggy and Olivia for coffee at “the Pullapart House”. The weather was gorgeous and it was nice to sit outside and chat with them. We had an hour before we could go to my parents house, since they were making up John Wayne Eggs and they needed to cook. We went home and changed the boys and headed over. They were so happy to see that the Easter Bunny had visited Nana and Papa’s house, too (thanks for hiding all the eggs Nathan!) We ate, did the egg hunt and let the boys play for awhile while Dee finished building the arbor at my parents place that she’s been working on.

Anyhow, we wore out our welcome at my folks…Trey was seriously losing it….and put the boys in the car. They were asleep in less than 1/2 mile! Busy, busy weekend for them.

Monday night we went to Holly’s for dinner. What a treat! We hung out while the boys played. The boys were so jazzed to walk in somewhere and see huge cool train tracks all set up that they didn’t even want to stop and eat pizza. Carlos loves Holly’s song, One More Time, and insists we play it over and over again in the car (I don’t mind, I love that song too!) so I asked her if she would play for him. We brought along the boy’s new guitar, Holly tuned it and Carlos was strumming away when Holly pulled out her guitar and started playing “One More Time”. Carlos played along but was mesmerized when she started singing and he realized that she was the lady on the cd. He’s been talking about Holly nonstop ever since. Anyhow, it was a great evening and we really enjoyed getting out, we really like Holly and her family and her kids totally rock!

Today we hung out at the Kids Museum for a little while, Carlos did a ton of artwork and Trey played with the golf ball physics display. Nevaeh went on a visit so she was gone for a little bit, Levi and Alice had school so all was back to normal.

No school tomorrow and it’s just me and the boys and Dee’s working late so I pulled out the boy’s mattresses and we are having a sleepover in the living room. Watching movies, eating popcorn and sleeping in the living room, should be fun!

This afternoon we dyed eggs with the boys, Carlos and Levi got really into it but Trey had SERIOUS meltdown when we wouldn’t give him a cup with dye and an egg so he could drink it. Yeah, he didn’t quite “get” the idea.
Tonight Dee and I got to drop the kids at Nana and Papa’s house while we got to see Holly perform. It was great, she played along with two other women (Kym Tuvim and Datri Bean) who we both really enjoyed. Nice date night for us, doesn’t happen often enough and it was much needed. Holly’s been getting some great press, check it out:
Tomorrow should be good…church, coffee with Margaret and Peggy then off to brunch at my folks. The Easter baskets are all set (not candy filled but more to do so we’ll see how that’ll work out) and eggs are filled for a hunt at Nana and Papas house.
Happy Easter all

Ah, the traditional Easter Egg Hunt, ya gotta love it with little kids! They were amazed that the Easter Bunny had come a day early to Messenger House to hide eggs and that they got to find them and holy cow, there is candy inside! All of these things were fascinating to the boys, they had a great time. There was juice and cookies and the Easter Bunny handing out balloons, pretty much the best day ever. Oh and Levi is the lucky one…he won a guitar, how cool is that!? The fun had to come to an end and the hard part came when Mamas said “no more candy” and we had to leave, put the egg filled baskets in the car and move on with the day. Carlos was especially upset (as you can see in the picture).
We took them down to Winslow to the bookstore, where they got a new cd of stories to listen to at night, and a couple of books. Then a quick stop at Mora to sample a few flavors and get a pint of banana ice cream to take home for later. Steph and Dave came by with Jacob and Taylor and it was such a treat to see them, we don’t get to very often! The kids played and we chatted, very nice visit.
Tonight the boys are hanging out at Nana and Papa’s house to take a bath in Nana’s big bathtub and watch Polar Express while Mamas get to go see their friend, Holly, play at the Island Music Guild. We can’t wait! She’s been in just about every local paper here and we’re hoping she has a sold out show, she’s amazing and her music needs to be heard. 🙂 Hoping to get some pics and video up to share…we’ll see how the lighting is and all and how well our camera does.
Happy Easter!

2:30am…..Trey has been awake ALL night and screaming mad. Don’t know why but on my night to sleep I’m not a happy mommy. So after 4 1/2 hours of listening to him scream I’m seriously done. No fever, gave him tylenol, ear drops, teething stuff….any suggestions?
