So I get a phone call today from Nathan saying “uh, you haven’t blogged”…so here we go. Now that the bags are unpacked, the laundry is done, the boys are in bed I guess I can sit back and do a little recap of our vacation.

We spent Sat night in Seattle with my parents at the Red Lion. The boys thought going out to IHOP and having breakfast for dinner was a great treat and then we came back to the hotel and watched Monsters Inc. Got the guys to bed early since we had to get them up at 3:30am to get to the airport in time.

Check in went smoothly, security went smoothly and we got through the flights (yeah for the Dora dvd) with the boys being real troopers. There was a little wrestling in the Denver airport, but all in all they behaved. When we got to Montrose, however, Dee wasn’t feeling good at all. Turns out that she got a bout of altitude sickness (Montrose, CO is about 5,000 feet compared to our sea level). It really hits when it hits and she was miserable and couldn’t eat for days. There’s no “cure” just rest and lots of water. She kept high spirits, though, and made the best of a not so great situation.
