We had SO much fun at the rollerskating party! Levi and Trey both skated and couldn’t get enough. The pictures here are Levi with Dawn (his new love) and her dad and Rob. He doesn’t look all that happy in the photos but he really was. I couldn’t believe that Trey, who is only 16 months old, was really out there roller skating. Rob would take him around the rink super fast and he squealed “Weeeeeeeeeeee” and wanted more skating. Levi only wanted to skate with Dawn, but I took him around the rink a few times. Carlos and Dee hung out at the video games. It’s a nice stage he’s in where you don’t need any money in the video games in order to enjoy them. Oh, and Levi was jazzed, too because he won a pizza!
Mary’s coming for family dinner tonight and we’ll give the boys haircuts and try on their outfits for the adoption. We bought Levi a new tie yesterday that will be special from his adoption. It’s cool, has a fancy box and all.
Tomorrow’s the BIG day, can’t wait for the adoption. I’m planning on taking the kids to see “Happy Feet” in the morning and then getting them all ready for the adoption and heading out. I can’t believe this day is finally so close. I figure they can eat popcorn and lunch, come hom and get dressed and hopefully get a little nap in the car on the way over. That would be if all goes as planned….ha ha ha.

Friday’s the big day! Just got word that the adoption WILL happen and we couldn’t be happier.

Tomorrow’s a busy day…off to the lawyer’s office to sign some additional papers (saying we understand the risks of adopting with paperwork pending). We are very confident that all will go well, just can’t wait for this all to be final and the paperwork exhausted so we can breathe easy.

We got invited to Steelhead’s skating party so we’re taking the boys there after the stop at the lawyers. None of the boys have been on rollerskates before and I’m not sure they even make skates that small, but we’ll see. Should be fun to hand out with Gay and Rob and see Tim and Dawn, too! The Steelhead crew is always fun.

Also adding a couple random pictures…Carlos and his “scary monster eyes” and Trey on his new favorite place to fall asleep, on Abbie.

Breathing a little easier tonight…maybe we’ll actually get a good night’s sleep, too!

Picked up our respite care placement last night, she’s a cutie but was scared to death of me. I felt SO bad for her…also for me because I was trying to shop at the Old Navy 50% off clearance sale (got henley shirts for $2 each and they are SO cute for the boys) and she was having nothing to do with that.

Anyhow, we got home and she settled down and then slept through the night. The boys really like her, the cutest thing is Levi sitting in front of her with a toy and singing nursery rhymes to her. He can’t get enough of her and is always right by her side with toys to make her happy.

Linda, Scott and the girls are coming by for a little while this afternoon before heading to the airport. It’ll be a short visit, but still great to see them.

Hoping to have coffee with Margaret this morning and then dinner with Alisa and Holly tonight. Keeping ourselves busy is keeping us a little more sane. Dee’s got the hallway all put back together, the pictures hung and all the Halloween stuff put away. Our house will be spotless by Monday!

Just got back from “Flushed Away”, pretty cute movie but so similar to all the rest that it was kinda boring. Kept the kids attention, though, so I guess it did it’s job. Trey fell asleep in the middle of it with a lollipop in his mouth, pretty funny to use a lollipop as a pacifier.

Dee has been re-painting the hallway, it looks great. It’s amazing the things that are getting done around the house since we are trying to keep ourselves busy and not thinking about Levi’s case.

The overwhelming support from friends and family has been much needed, thanks!
