The boys are famous! They are on the Childwood Magnets webpage (www.childwoodmagnets.com) and Families Like Ours (www.familieslikeours.org). On the Childwood site they are in the banner on the righthand side and if you keep clicking on “about ChildWood” you will see the various pictures. There’s on of Carlos playing and one of Levi playing. On Families Like Ours, the picture of Dee, Carlos and I is at the top. They did the shoot for Fancy Ponyland (www.fancyponyland.com) but those pictures aren’t up at this point. It’s fun, not a career or anything but fun. I wouldn’t mind them signing on with Gap or somewhere to get some free clothes! 🙂

The boys really pushed my buttons today, refused to clean up (a new thing this week) and lost all of their toys for the next day. They’ve got lots of books for them to read, coloring to do and playdoh to play with. I’m hoping it’ll be a tad bit of a shock to the system. We did this once before and it seemed to work, they came out with a new appreciation for their toys. Fingers are crossed.

We are surviving the snow and ice, it’s freezing cold and the kids are going nuts being inside, but with the newborn here and Trey having such a bad cough we can’t justify letting them outside to play. Maybe tomorrow we’ll get some more snow and it won’t just be freezing outside and they can actually have snow to play in.

Praying for sleep!!!!

Oh Black Friday, Black Friday…it was GOOD to me! I found some great Christmas presents for the boys at Target and it was worth braving the crowds to save some money. I took the new baby and Carolyn and I went at 7:30am. I couldn’t do the 5am thing, but I can’t complain because I got all I wanted.
Went to coffee this morning with Margaret and her friend. Our boys were just a tad hyper so we couldn’t really relax. That was a bummer. We’ve reverted back to our Love and Logic training, that seems to work best for Carlos since he eats up anger. It’s tough not to get upset, but he’s a passionate two year old and is constantly pushing our buttons for sport.
Dee and I are going to get a much needed break tomorrow and finally get to see the new James Bond movie. We were supposed to go on Wednesday night, but I ended up late picking up the new baby. So, can’t wait to see the movie and also to spend some time alone with Dee.
Speaking of the newborn, he’s doing great. What a sweet little baby! He’s great cuddling and sleeps alot and even did pretty well last night in the sleep dept and only got up three times to eat and then went right back to bed.
Time to put the boys down to bed and for Dee and I to watch the Notre Dame game! Happy last couple days of vacation to all.

We have a new baby (for a short while)…he’s 1 day old and really cute! So far he’s been mellow and easy to have around. Dee and I were planning on going to see the new James Bond movie tonight, but DSHS took forever getting clearance on the baby to leave the hospital so we by the time I got home with him it was too late. C’est la vie, we’ll get to it soon, I hope.

Tomorrow’s turkey day….yum! Happy Thanksgiving to all!

We got such a treat at playgroup yesterday…our friend, Sarah, brought cupcakes for everyone to celebrate Levi’s adoption! We also got some special ones for us to take home we had them for teaparty last night. YUM! As you can see, the boys dug right in. Trey decided to paint his face with the frosting, which is always fun.

We helped another friend get a new baby, woo hoo, and I love it when things work out and it’s cool to be a part of it all. Can’t wait to meet her.

Last night our volleyball team kicked some bootie….we are in the end of the season tournament now and won both our games last night. We play again next Monday, play the winner of a game between the two teams we beat last night. If we win the first one, we are the “B” division champs! That would be cool.

Our friend, Holly Figueroa (www.hollyfigueroa.com) is playing at the Tractor Tavern next Monday and with volleyball we are going to miss it. I’m bummed out about that part! Check her out, she’s great!

Levi and Alice are off to preschool and we’re headed to do some errands and go to playgroup. Weather is miserable here, sideways winds and lots of rain.

The party was a success! It was too funny, most people came around 2:30 so we had a full, full house and then by 4 it was just a few friends. Nice both ways and always nice to see our friends and with such a great things to celebrate. Always nice to have the support. 🙂

The boys were pretty good, Levi thought it was his birthday party and still doesn’t quite understand what adoption is. Not like any 3 year old needs to know but we are going to be open from the start with all of the boys about being adopted.

Hoping to get some rest tonight…it’s been a busy, busy last few days and it’s only going to get busier with Thanksgiving coming up.
