Well, we met with Dominic’s new worker yesterday and got the full disclosure (that’s every piece of paperwork about the case, photocopied with most the names blacked out) and she said that since he’s legally free we can start calling him whatever name we are going to call him. SOOOOO….he is now “Levi”! It’s tough for us to get used to, too, but it’s for his own safety in the future and he’ll get used to it. Actually we’ve been talking to him about it for about a year now and he responds to Levi so it’s going well so far.

Been a busy morning, had Faith, Nate and Connor over playing but all the kids really did well and played great together. We put up a play tent and got the road out for the cars and all were content. They made a lot of food in the kitchen, too!

Everyone’s sleeping now, except for Trey who is sitting here with me. He’s taken TWO STEPS! Big news for him for sure, he’s really getting ready to start walking. He’ll stand up in the middle of the room and clap and smile, then todder and take a step. It’s fun to watch.

Off to fold some laundry!

Thank God for grandparents….we got a good night’s sleep! Well, I did at least, Dee was up coughing part of the night so she didn’t get the rest she was hoping for. Dee took off to work early, I got up, showered, fed Trey and got him ready to go and we went to Safeway for a quick trip and then picked up the “big boys”. We went shopping in Silverdale then got haircuts, the boys came home to nap and then we had a foster parent dinner. Busy day!

Time for bed here, it’s early but we’re still catching up! 🙂

That would now be TEN days….geesh this is getting old and we are getting seriously crabby.

Did take the boys to get their pictures done yesterday and that was fun, as always. Here’s the link if you want to see the results!

Mary and I went to the Island School auction last night, it was great. We were bidding on everything to help raise the price. All in all we can say we raised $5600 for the Island School and in reality only left spending $150. I donated $25 toward the finanial aid program (hope that might come back around and benefit our boys someday…but if not it’s for a good cause) and then another $25 on a girls only pool party. There are some great women associated with Island School and I would love to hang out at the pool with them. It was a really fun night!

Got my shopping done today and the ‘rents are coming for dinner tonight and then taking the “big boys” on a sleepover. They will have SO much fun. We’re gonna put Trey in Dominic & Carlos’ room and hopefully we will get a good night’s sleep tonight.

Fingers are crossed!

I am SOOOOOOO tired….it’s been 8 days since I’ve had a full night’s sleep. Seems either Trey loses a pacifier, Dominic is up in the middle of the night to pee and slams the toilet seat cover, Carlos has a bad dream and wants mama, or Abbie barks at a raccoon at 3am, theres been something every night that’s had us awake. This morning, Trey was up and rarin to go at 4:45am. Holy schnikes is all I have to say. I did get to watch the finale of Will and Grace, that was good, but I would have preferred sleep.

Hoping to get the boy’s pictures taken this weekend so that should be fun. Also, the Island School auction is tomorrow night and I’m heading to that with Mary while Dee watches the kidlets. Should be a busy weekend…..time to sleep!

The weather is AMAZING the last week or so….can’t complain about the sunshine, sure feels like summer’s here. Forecast for the next few days isn’t so hot, though. Back to reality.

Oh, on a television note…yeah for the Hippies on the Amazing Race! Just had to throw that in there since I was so disappointed with how Survivor ended this season. Just seems that people can be so dumb, and the “right” person/people don’t always win.

Got all 5 kids (Faith and Alice are here) napping at the same time, hallelujah! Was feeling good about that, had a bite to eat and Trey woke up. He’s tough today, not sure why, but doesn’t want to take naps. Dee’s trying to rock him to sleep now, but he’s not having anything to do with that. Kids!

What a long, long weekend…fun, but long! We had the boy’s birthday party on Saturday afternoon. Our friends had a bounce-house that we set up in the yard and the kids bounced and bounced and bounced. They really had a blast with that and I think we’ll be on the lookout to purchase one here in the near future. We had lots of friends come, it was great to see everyone.

So we were hoping we’d get to sleep in for Mother’s Day, especially since the boys were so tired from the party and all….BUT…Carlos was up at quarter to 1am and ended up the rest of the night in our bed. That means no sleep for mamas. I was up by 5:45am but so tired. Oh well! We took the boys down to Bainbridge Bakers for coffee and pullaparts, then met up with Nana and Papa and went to Fay Bainbridge for a picnic and playing on the beach. The boys had so much fun splashing in the water. Carlos is a serious daredevil, he was up to his waist in the water and wanted to go deeper. Dominic liked throwing rocks in the water and kicking up water with his feet and Trey just wanted to sit in the mud and splash.

Off to watch the Survivor Finale…..this week has kicked my butt!

We painted yesterday! First we got out the finger paints, then the brushes and then we did the kid’s handprints. It was an artfest! They loved it, got all messy but who cares? If anyone needs a masterpiece to hang on their fridge, let me know because these guys love their art projects and mass produce them. I’d be happy to drop one in the mail to you!

Then after art, Mary, Ryan and Grammas Patti and Jeanie ame over to have tacos and watch Surviror. So close to the finale I can’t believe it’s already over. We’ll have to find something else to watch on Thursday nights…that’s our weekly dinner with Grammas and Mary and I don’t want to miss that.

Getting ready for a BUSY weekend…the boy’s birthday/adoption party is tomorrow afternoon then Mother’s Day on Sunday. It’s been a long, long week and it doesn’t seem to have an end anytime soon. The party will be fun, we’re borrowing a bounce house for the kids and we got a Dora pinata that the kids will have fun with, too. Seeing lots of friends and family…nice!

We had some fun tonight wrestling with the boys and snapping photos. They were so crazy, but laughing all the way. At 10 months old, even Trey is getting into the “pig pile on mama” game!

One of these nights here soon, we’re going to get out sleeping bags and all set up in the living room for a family sleep over. I figure if we read books and watch movies, eventually the boys will fall asleep. At least it’ll get them ready for when we start camping. Can’t wait for that!
