Here are some pictures of the garden and when we got dirt! Some seeds will be going in this weekend and hopefully we’ll get this garden to start producing! Sorry you got in the pics, Caroline…it’s funny that you’re trying to hide your face too and now you are on the world wide web. HA! Anyhow, the only way to stay out of the pictures is to be behind the camera, ta da!

So we were out gardening the other day and saw the COOLEST thing… first we heard the strangest noise (sounded like a seagull being tortured) and walked over to the street and saw a bald eagle sitting in the tree not 30 yards away. It had a squirrel it was going to town on and the noise we heard was 2 other eagles wanting what this eagle had. They were swooping right over our heads and it was very cool. You don’t get to see something like that everyday. Bald eagles are truly huge when you see them fly right overhead, it was amazing.

Other than that, not too much to report. We’re just enjoying the sunshine and trying to be outside as much as we can be!

Things are moving along with Trey’s adoption! We got a call today that they finally got Trey’s social security number, so now it should be toward the end of April for his adoption. The funny part about it is all the paperwork issues they’ve had to deal with…and then with the SSN they got his name wrong so we’ll have to go in and change that after the adoption is final. As of now, his SS card has his name as Trey Cameron File-Bennett. But all in all it’s great news, as it’s taken almost 9 months for us to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Still no word on Dominic’s case, most likely hear more toward summer time and fingers are crossed that it will all be finalized then.

It’s been a day…but my folks are coming over to watch the boys so Dee and I can go out to dinner and a movie. Should be fun, we don’t get many “date nights” but we are trying to be better about that.

Dirt comes for the garden tomorrow so we are excited about that. It’ll be lots of work to spread 8 yards of soil into the raised beds, but it’s really the start of the garden and being able to plant. We’ll get the boys into their overalls and head out there in the morning.

So I went last night to Walmart to get batteries for our cordless phones since they all died at the same time and who would have thunk that it was only a $7 difference between buying 2 brand new phones (a newer model of our old ones) and buying batteries for the old ones. So, I forked over the $7 and now we have these cool new phones…I’m happy but amazed. Oh well, the boys will love having the old ones to play with!

Happy Friday and have a great weekend!

The garden is starting to really come together and look GREAT! We’ve got the raised beds all done, the ground rototilled and weeded and all as well. Dee and Yvonne dug up the raspberries and Dee’s going to make a new spot for those. I’m so excited to get this started and have fresh veggies all summer long. I’m excited to build up an herb garden as well, should be having some tasty food at our place here soon. Our boys are having fun playing outside all the time now and the weather has been cooperating (knock on wood).

I’ve started up a “myspace.com” account for anyone on there…look me up! It’s fun, but not something I spend much time doing. Good to keep in touch with people, though and see what’s going on with everyone.

Off to continue with the never-ending job of putting music files on the ol mp3 player!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY!

We’ve been playing with green playdoh and the corned beef and cabbage are all set in the slow cooker. Smelling tasty! Took the kids down to the beach yesterday so they could pick out a lucky rock and we are going to paint them this afternoon after naptime. Attached are the beach pictures, they’re pretty cool.

Anyhow, that’s all…drink a Guinness for me!

Well, it was a fun day today…tried taking the boys to playgroup but left early. First Dominic decided that he was going to throw the biggest hemmorage in the world and he id just that for about 10 minutes, then Carlos had a meltdown and Trey followed closely after. We left early, no point in having all the rest of the moms have to hear my boys. Oh well, I got 1/2 a cup of coffee in.

Came home to put the boys down for a nap and then headed off to Silverdale to get Trey’s pictures taken. Pictures turned out great! Signed up for My Space, it’s cool and intereseting to see all the people online. Don’t know if I’ll get “hooked” or not but seems a lot are! It’s fun to see all the pictures, though, that’s my favorite part. A snapshot into others lives.

Off to switch the laundry!

I love this picture! Just hanging out this weekend, got a chance to see Allie (we love her!) and a couple of her friends from school. Was totally jealous they were headed to eat at Sawatdy! Other than that, we’re just hanging out…

What a nice birthday surprise I got from Dee…we took off for an overnight (with no kids!) to Discovery Bay! It was so relaxing and a much needed break for us. It was the first night since we’ve had kids that we have had a night apart from them. We really did miss the boys, but it was so nice to sit and drink a glass of wine and look out at the water and hear the waves splashing. We shopped around in Port Townsend in the morning and then stopped for lunch in Poulsbo at Los Cabos (yum!). The boys were SO excited to see us when we got home, it was really cool.

We worked in the garden for a couple hours and then came in to get caught up on laundry and just hang out with the boys. All in all a great day!!!

Who would have thought that I would spend my birthday up in our crawl space doing “man work” and fixing a leak in our roof? Not me! It had to be done, though, and Dee was off painting in Poulsbo so I sucked it up and did it. A little scary, though, that there’s a box with a little hole in the side that said “Biggie come in here”…it was apparently made by kids since the spelling was off, but still spooky to think that “Biggie” lived in our crawl space.

I spent the morning making baby food for Trey, trying to give him some variety. He’s loving carrots and really likes broccoli. So I made Cauliflour, Mixed Veggies, Peas, Squash and some Stir-fry veggies that are different but I hope he’ll like. We’ll see!!

I have Jefferson again today, his grandma comes back tomorrow. It’s been fun, but Trey is getting jealous of another baby being around.

I’m looking forward to a nice mellow evening at my folk’s house having steak and ceasar! That’s all for now!
